Korean Drama - Rooftop Prince - 옥탑방 왕세자 - (OST Download)

© 2012 wallpaperose.com
At the moment in the middle of watching the 15th episode of this drama. 5 more to go. So far its awesome to say the least. It managed to retain my attention episode after episode till now. My eyes are swollen after watching 10 consecutive episodes one after the other since yesterday. Thats about 10 hours of TV watching. But what the heck!. Im having fun.

I usually stay away from watching imperial period dramas such as Dae Jang Geum because they are really boring for my taste buds. For anyone who doesn't know, its the drama where actress Lee Young Ae staring as famous (infamous in Srilanka) Changumi. But an imperial drama with time travel , a murder mystery , love polygons , cry times , happy times and the best of all ... an always privileged bitch who makes you feel like standing up from the couch and give punch in her face .. You got that all checked. It has all. ? Well in that case how can I say NO! to this drama?.

Little background info:

Korean Drama - Coffee House (커피하우스)

en.korea.com
In the middle of watching the 16th episode of this Korean drama. Highly simplified yet attention retaining, vibrant unpredictable story line. Great acting and as always… highly addictive.  (කුඩු  ගැහුවා  හා සමානය ).

Unlike Secret Garden, which had thousand and one characters popping out from nowhere Coffee house has very few characters, yet  they managed to build up a  nice , fascinating and somewhat curious story line that engaged the viewer till the very end. For me that is the main strong point of this drama. Due to the large character set I really enjoyed the secret garden when I watched it for the second time, because then only I fully understood who is who's who. But don't be mistaken. It is still my favorite and large pool of characters in there added an extra dimension to it.

Many people disliked and cursed about the ending of Coffee House, but 2 more episodes are left for me to find out what really happens at the end. What ever it is..  this drama will not disappoint me. Worst come to worst, I will stop watching it now to avoid being gloomy for the rest of the week… hajiman … eotteohke? eotteohke?!!!!!….  Aigoo Aigoo what has become of me … ^_^

Some background info first:
CoffeeHouse (커피하우스) previously known as Page One is a 18 episode, romance/comedy South Korean TV drama broadcasted on SBS TV Network, Korea starring Kang Ji Hwan , Park Si Yeon and Ham Eun Jung . It was aired from May 17, 2010 to July 27, 2010 on Monday and Tuesday nights. Unfortunately it has not done well in the media ratings, only being able to achieve 10.1 nationwide during its peak.
(2012, CoffeeHouse - DramaWikii )

Synopsis:
Lee Jin-soo made it big after writing several thriller novels and establishing himself as a talented novelist. He works for Seo Eun Young, the owner of the biggest publishing company in Korea, and has a long-time friendship with her. Jin Soo has lots of fans, especially female ones, and he seems to be the perfect match for any woman... but what no one knows is that he is actually a bit weird and sarcastic, has lots of strange habits, and holds a dark secret. The one who has to cope with him and his habits is his secretary, Kang Seung Yeon, who begged him for this job to become a pro instead of the below-average girl that she really is.

ilikeyporkchop says - Speechless
For the first time, i had no idea what’s going to happen. Most dramas are so predictable, and after a while they get really boring. But watching this drama really made me fall back in love with dramas. You have no idea who’s going to end up with who because they’re all perfect for each other! Makes me check everyday for new uploads. This drama has left me speechless (except at the funny parts).

 RomComFan says - Just perfect
Jung Woong In’s character was completely annoying, self centered, delusional, obsessive, not funny. During the first episodes he dragged the romance and comedy down, but sure enough as the plot thickens and continues to tighten its grip on us viewers, he and the rest of the cast provide us with an excellent means of escape, laughter, and relaxation.

Eun Jung’s portrayal of a fumbling, naive, underdog, hard working yet evolving and smart secretary wannabe gets old at first but after time it her character grows into her talent as an actress and really redeems itself for the earlier annoying traits.  Kudos to Kang Ji Hwan and Park Si Yeon who did a marvelous job of picking up where Eun Jung and Wong In’s characters leave off by bringing their complicated, emotionally deep, conflicted, mature, characters to life with energy, whit and experience. The cast’s on-screen presence and chemistry makes this a perfect drama for a marathon session. Like a good book, once you start….  you have to continue. Very well done.

Well, that's all folks, Google a bit of the OSTs. Alice does not have them in her new site…. Strange!

Korean Drama - Flower Boy Ramen Shop - 꽃미남 라면가게 - (OST Download)

Flower Boy Ramen Shop
© 2011 TVN TV
Its 12:30 AM in the morning and I'm in the middle of watching the last (16th) episode of this drama.
Contrast to the thumbs up given by many this is a unbelievably stupid drama series.I seriously cant believe why im writing anything about this in the first place. LOL

Yet, even though it is stupid and hardly hilarious , there is something about this series that is addictive and makes you keep watching it. Or is it a severe degradation of my taste and an drama addiction ? I dont know...

Anyways , first part of the drama is unbelievably stupid but last few episodes are not so bad. What makes it interesting is the confusion of Cha Chi-Soo about his feelings. But he is trying to be truthful to himself with out denying it and trying to understand what really goes on makes things interesting while teaching us some life lessons. Much similar to the confusion Kim Joo Won went through in the Secret Garden. But this drama is no way a comparison to the extraordinary success , recognition and love received by Secret Garden.

Some background info first:

To be fair and to rectify my comments on this drama lets see some positive comments. Its surprising to see the amount of people cheering for it. To say the least , this is a drama for girls. Guys should stay out at all cost if possible. LOL So here goes:

Lets see what others say:
Fantabulountastificent!!!! Just about sums it up!
It’s very rare that you get a drama that reels you in from the word go as with most dramas, it takes a while for people to get comfy… however this fantastic piece is a mind numbing, amazing roller coaster ride right from the start. It’s fun , fresh and fabulously acted and I give kudos to all who were involved in the making of it. The characters are rib cracking funny, good-looking and so endearing that one minute you’re laughing your head off and the next you’re tearing up like a baby!

Gotta say I especially and absolutely adore the character of Cha Chi Soo - who is so unabashedly spoilt, brash, idiotic but also possesses a big heart and an endearing innocent soul! You cant help but fall in love with him!

I dont really review shows that much but this show is sooooooo good it just had me itching to write something ...anything… (good of course lol). Definitely a MUST WATCH!!!!!.

CANT GET OVER IT!
This has got to be the BEST romantic comedy drama I have ever seen! The comedy was just too funny! I have never laughed so loud in a drama before. Jung Il Woo did such an amazing job in this drama. I loved his character.Looking for a good laugh and cute romance?  Then this is the perfect drama for you!.

Korean Drama - You're Beautiful - 미남이시네요 - (OST Download)

    You're Beautiful
    © 2009 SBS TV
Finished watching the last episode of this drama few days back. Started writing this when I was on 11th episode. Since the ending was so unpredictable I though "Heck wait till the end! before commenting" Watching this drama reminds me of a phrase told by a friend.
"Don't discriminate. Would you get upset at a small tree in the forest for not being tall and straight like some of the others?"
Not making any sense? We'll dont blame me. One need to watch the drama  to understand the full weight of it. ㅋㅋ

Overall a great drama with great OSTs. Was  wondering whether to watch the Japanese remake of the drama Ikemen desu ne (美男ですね) which finished telecasting on TBS TV Network on September,  2011. But after watching  some parts of it I abandoned the idea straight away because it looked so  tacky and artificial  with cartoon like characters trying to be cool but looks like fools. Japanese remake seems like a total disaster to say the least.

    Some background info first:
You're Beautiful/Minami Shineyo ( 미남이시네요) is a 16 episode , Romance/comedy South Korean TV drama broadcasted on SBS TV Network, Korea starring Jang Geun Suk , Park Shin Hye , Lee Hongki and Jung Yong Hwa. It was aired from October 7, 2009 to November 26, 2009 on Wednesday and Thursday nights. According to TNS Media, It achieved 11.9% ratings nationwide during its finale with an average rating of 10.1%.  This drama also received Netizen Popularity Award and  Top Ten Stars Award (Jang Geun Suk) during the 2009 SBS Drama Awards.
    (2009, You're Beautiful - DramaWiki )

    Synopsis:
Go Mi Nyu is a sister-in-training. Her twin brother Go Mi Nam successfully auditions for the musical band A.N.JELL but is forced to leave for the United States to correct a botched plastic surgery. Mi Nyu is approached by Mi Nam's manager to pose as Mi Nam while he recovers. She is against it at first but agrees in order to fulfil her dream of finding their mother.

    laladrama Says: Amazing!
A drama like no other, one that I have been touched and can not stop liking. Now added to one of my top favorites "You’re Beautiful" is a drama that keeps you coming back for more. From start to end, this drama has offered its laughs and tears; a drama that doesn’t really has it negatives.
From an attractive cast to a deep and meaningful storyline, you really don’t have anything to lose! "You’re beautiful" is far from boring, exposing different characters from lovable, cute, perfect, jerk, greed; I assure you that you will have your favorite character by the end of episode 3-4.
I recommend this drama to everyone!. Take a journey with Go Mi Nam and the crew through obstacles that leaves us wanting more!

    LexPer Says:
Most awesome Drama. Funny, Romantic, and a bit of Sad all in one, I fell in love with it by the end of the first half of the first episode…. If you can’t live with out K-drama Like me this is A MUST SEE.

Meli Says: It'll make you laugh, cry, and get angry!
I have never really watched any Asian dramas before. On the SBS homepage I saw You’re Beautiful and was interested. Immediately within the first few minutes I fell in LOVE with this drama. Although I was annoyed at times with Tae Kyung, he also made me laugh. Shin Woo I felt so sorry for! But in the end I still wanted Tae Kyung and Mi Nyu to be together! Jeremy is ADORABLE, and he cracked me up the whole show. Mostly all of the characters were enjoyable and comical. I only disliked Yoo He Yi, only because she would always show up at the WORST times, but that was the point I’m sure.
All and all I would defiantly recommend this drama. It was amazing. I laughed, I cried, and I got pissed off. I hope they have a season two!

Korean Drama - Personal Preference - 개인의 취향 (OST Download)

    © 2010 , Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation
Finished watching the 8th episode of the drama Personal Preference - 개인의 취향. Still 8 more to go. Loving it so far. Instead of typical love triangles present in Korean dramas this one has... lets say ...  polygons. But that makes the story more the interesting and nail-biting... Wont it ?? As always with leading  korean Dramas , the story line is fresh , filled with none cheap  humor and teaches valuable life lessons in a subtle nonintrusive way. Overall a very nice Drama and ah .. forgot to say ,brilliant OSTs.

    Some background info first:

Personal Preference/Personal Taste (Hangul: 개인의 취향) was a 16 episode South Korean TV Drama broadcasted on MBC TV Network, South Korea. It is based on the 2007 novel "Gaeinui Chwihyang" by Lee Sae-In. Directed by  Son Hyeong-Seok and  No Jong-Chan , it was aired from March 31 , 2010 to May 20, 2010 on Wednesday and Thursday nights. According to TNS Media, this drama had achieved 16.2% ratings nationwide during its peak ,became extremely popular in other asian countries and has won the Excellence Award - Actor (Lee Min Ho) during the 2010 MBC Drama Awards.
    (2010 , Personal Preference - DramaWiki)

    Synopsis:

Jeon Jin Ho is the head architect of a small firm who is trying to avoid bankruptcy while attempting to beat his father's old friends -- and his foes, Chang Ryeol and his father. When he notices they have their eye on the house of Park Gae In, Jin Ho pretends to be gay so that he can move in and find out what had captured their interest. Hilarity ensues as Gae In and Jin Ho's polar opposite personality clash continuously.
    (2011 , Gaeinui chwihyang - MyDramaList )

    Lets see what others say:

    Mary Says:
I can't believe it's over :( Hands down, one of the best Korean drama's ever. Great actress and actors. AND MOST DEFINITELY the Producers, writers, and director. *applause*

    Atubang Says:
This is the best telenovela I ever saw (I am picky)! Excellent story line and characters- so entertaining & yet full of lessons. Actors are excellent and Lee Min Ho is just drop dead gorgeous! My highest regards to the writer & producer. Sequel please!
(2011 , Personal Taste (Korean Drama) - AsianMediaWiki)

    MzTVXQ Says:
This drama is amazing because it’s a lovely, romantic-comedy and approaches love stories a little differently. Its like a realistic love story but with the added touch of a fairytale.

When this drama was hitting news everywhere for Lee Min Ho’s next drama, I was following it eagerly, reading the synopsis and seeing all the pictures. But honestly, it really didn’t give it the exciting start-up it should’ve. I watched only a couple of months after its release, because I came across it coincidently, and I was like "Oh yeh I wanted to see this drama, let’s have a look". BUT IT’S ALOT BETTER THAN WHAT YOU THINK!
It puts a clichéd storyline about this handsome respectful guy, who falls for the unexpected clumsy, careless girl but in a fantastic new way. It actually teaches you a thing or two about love, and what you shouldn’t do or should do at times. It’s a realistic reflection of a lot of people’s love stories.

The casting was fantastic! It’s one of those dramas where you don’t hate the female lead, but you love the way she is and want her to be with the male lead. Those are the dramas that are worth watching. I’m a huge fan of Lee Min Ho, he is always beautiful and amazing. His acting was nowhere near less than our expectations, especially after B.O.F. I though he made a not so good choice when I heard about it, but he definitely knows how to choose his dramas!! I love Son Ye Jin’s acting and her character Kae-In. It great that she took this role, it shows a lot of phases most actresses won’t accept to do!! Even the evil-like character of Kim In Hee played by Wang Ji Hye -I really respect her for it even though people started hating her but it’s because she played it soo well. The whole cast did a great job, I was crying at times, and at others laughing so hard I was going to cry!

Korean Drama - Dream High - 드림하이 - (OST Download)

    Dream High
    ©2011 KBS2
Just finished watching the last episode (16) of the Korean drama Dream High (드림하이). Thought about writing this straight away with out taking a break because otherwise the lazy bug will bite me again and nothing is going to come out of me as happened with some other great dramas such as Gokusen.

What can I say, this drama again is a great one. Now one may wonder how and why I give thumbs up for all the dramas I watch. Seems like i don’t have any taste hai!. Well there is a simple explanation. I only choose and watch dramas with high user ratings and reviews. ^o^

Even though the story revolve around few people and limited number of sets there were no boring bits and ending left a really warm and joyful feeling in the heart.

Finally, from the cast, the one I liked most was none other than Hye Mi's little sister Ahn Seo Hyun - The little Ajumma.

    Some background info first:
Dream High (드림하이 ) is a 16 episode Korean TV Drama broadcasted on KBS2 TV Network, Korea starring Suzy (Go Hye Mi),Kim Soo Hyun (Song Sam Dong), Taecyeon (Jin Gook ) , Ham Eun Jung (Yoon Baek Hee) and Wooyoung ( Jason). It was aired from Jan 03, 2011 to Feb 28, 2011 on Monday and Tuesday nights. This series is currently broadcasting in Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore with great success.

According to  TNS Media, ratings in Korea are not that disappointing with average rating of 14.9% nationwide with peak rating of 18.2% for the last episode.
    Plot:
Six students at Kirin Art High School work to achieve their dreams of becoming stars in the Korean music industry. During the drama, the students learn how to develop their singing, songwriting and dancing skills while also undergoing personal growth. Each one of the students have their own strength and their own weaknesses, but with the support and guidance of each other, they strive to debut on stage.

    hobogful says : Surprisingly Great
This drama is really good. At first I thought it was going to be boring and have no point to it but I decided to give it a try and was surprised at how addicting and good it became. The characters were loveable but some in the beginning were really annoying and make you hate them so much.

The main girl character started off as really annoying and rude to some people who is way different than your usual lovable hard working girl. But as the drama goes on you kind of start taking her side and seeing why she is like that. Don’t judge this drama and the characters so quickly because you might find yourself addicted to it after the 3rd episode. I recommend this to anyone mostly since the plot is different and takes you to see struggles of kids and seeing how they get to the top when the they are under so much pressure and facing some of the hardest obstacles.

Jutasija Says: Dream BIG Dreams "cause little ones have no magic"
Realistic, humorous, captivating, thrilling. All this and so much more.
The acting is fabulous. The characters make you love and hate them at the same time. Though Dream High is not your usual drama. It makes you guess from the first minutes to the last seconds, eagerly waiting for the next episode. The various twist, intrigues - the directors of Dream High manage to put the clichés in a new light.

The whole drama tells us the hardships of 6 students, who are trying to find out their dreams. Misunderstandings lead them to lean on each other, makes them fight and reconcile. The storyline captivates you, because it doesn’t take you out of the real world boundaries. You can imagine yourself being in their place, you can sympathize and you can scold them.
Dream High is a place, where you can find hope. The drama gives so many advices; hidden in hilarious situations, that unconsciously we pick up.

The moments spent watching this drama were enjoyable to the highest degree. Everything about this drama is optimistic, fun, happy…It is a drama worth watching.

Some favourite quotes of mine from the drama :
    • If you go slower in life , you can see lot more than what others will be able to see.
    • In this world there is no such thing as foolish dreams.
    • What it means to be an adult? They say that there are less and less reasons to smile.
    • A normal person , if he wants to give something to someone else , he will keep a  portion for himself first before giving the rest away. But a great person will think about others before thinking about himself.

Korean Drama - Witch Yoo Hee - 마녀유희 - (OST Download)

    Witch Yoo Hee
    ©2007  SBS

Few days back finished watching the Korean Drama Witch Yoo Hee.  Even though I cannot say it was the best I have seen till now, still it was one of the best nevertheless.

Many places I felt that the script needed some improvements and adding some extra scenes could have made the drama more intense. Last episode seems crammed with so many things happening in short period of time.

The last impression viewers got about the Ms Yoo Hee was not that good. I've  got a feeling that she choose one from the other not because of love but due to lack  of options available. This really put a negative impression on Yoo hee at the end of the drama and might have made many viewers dissatisfied/unhappy. Anyways apart from that, the drama was one of the best I have seen so far and the OSTs were also really wonderful.

    Some background info:
Witch Yoo Hee (마녀유희) was a 16 episode romance comedy TV Drama broadcasted on SBS Network, Seoul South Korea. It was aired from March 21, 2007 to May 10, 2007 on Wednesday and Thursday nights. According to TNS Media, It achieved 17.5% ratings nationwide during its peak with an average rating of 13.8%.
    (2011 , Witch Amusement - DramaWiki )

If you want to follow the episode by episode story-line, a person crazier than me has already written that. Check it out in  here.

    Lets see what others say:
    Charlecote says:
Witch Yoo Hee is different from all the other dramas I’ve watched so far. It has so many elements from other dramas but is unique at the same time. First of all we have this duck turned swan concept, then there is a butler-mistress relationship between Yoo Hee and Moo Ryong though he is her housekeeper and then we also have some elements of talented cook trying to get appreciated. This whole mixture gets its uniqueness through the incredible happenings and conversations between Yoo Hee and Moo Ryong!!!

You just have to love it!! It never gets boring with the two. Besides the actors are really into their roles so that makes the entertainment factor even bigger! A must watch for all fans of a good, funny love story!

    Dramafied_9 says:
I’m watching it for the second time right now and it’s funnier than the first time I saw it.  The story line was funny and unpredictable yet romantic.  It was one of my first Korean dramas I ever saw and it’s definitely worth watching.

    Ticklemyfancy17 says:
I honestly wasn’t expecting too much from this drama, although I liked the idea, I felt it would be much like other dramas I’ve seen. It was similar, yet somehow better. Some of the characters you like in the beginning, but grown to detest. And some of the characters, you fall in love with from the beginning. This drama has introduced me to a new favourite actor, and presented me with an extremely good time. Many dramas become like tasks after a few episodes, becoming slow or boring, however this one was certainly not like that. It was incredibly fast past and covers a lot. That’s probably it’s strongest point: it’s intensely amusing. You should definitely watch it.

Korean Drama - Oh! My Lady - 오! 마이 레이디 - (OST Download)

    Oh! My Lady
    ©2010  SBS
After 2 days of watching the drama Oh! My Lady (! 마이 레이디) finally finished the last (16th) episode today morning. I really don’t want this blog to be a K Drama review site, but alas what can I do? Its not fair to not comment on something that i found really  nice ,  worthy and entertaining.

I found this drama's storyline simple, non complicated yet heart touching. Characters were simple, easy to comprehend and lively. It was worth watching every episode. Anyways, I’m not good at writing reviews, so let’s see what others say.

    Some background info:
Oh! My Lady (! 마이 레이디) was a romance comedy TV Drama broadcasted on SBS Network , Seoul South Korea . It was aired on March 22, 2010 to May 11, 2010 on Monday and Tuesday nights. According to TNS Media, It achieved 12.1% ratings nationwide during its peak.
    ( 2010 , Oh My Lady!  , Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. )

The lead character, Ms Gae Hwa is pretty much the typical loud, middle aged woman you see in the supermarket. But she has a positive charm and determination that appeals to those who had found her annoying. Others often look down on her and think she is inferior to any job, but she remains the same, happy with the way she is.

“I’ve always liked Chae Rim. She never fails to impress me. So it isn’t a surprise that I think Chae Rim did an amazing job as an “ahjumma”. Her body language and the way she talked fit the role perfectly. And her crying scenes were top notch; it made me teary-eyed. There was chemistry between her and the two little girls. She was very motherly towards them. And she had good chemistry with Si Won, though not in the cheesy romantic way. They have a more mature relationship.”

The series had a good mixture of comedy, romance, and family. The series remained very light-hearted throughout. The storyline wasn’t complex and pretty much revolves around the deal between Yoon Gae Hwa and Sung Min Woo. The series  focused on different types of relationships, not just between a man and a woman, like between father and daughter or star and paparazzi. These relationships captured my attention and created some “awww” moments.

Some good lines from the drama.
    • As long as parents live earnestly , those feelings will be convayed to the child and the child will grow up well.
    • The easiest thing for someone is to live the way they have been living

Korean Drama - Cinderella Eonni - 신데렐라 언니 - (OST Download)

Finished watching 10 episodes out of 20 of the Korean drama Cinderella Eonni (Cinderella Sister - 신데렐라 언니). Ten more episodes to go. The theme is refreshing and the acting of Ms Eun-Ju in character Moon Geun-Youn is one of the best I have seen. Not to mention that the OSTs are stunning too. Even though there are not many positive reviews on this drama, I think it deserves much more admiration than what it has already received as the characters are so vibrant, vivid and the lines are so simplified yet touching. For me the story is a battle between dark and good side of human nature portrayed in a heart touching storyline.

    Bit of an Introduction first:
KBS broadcasted the Cinderella's Sister from March 31st 2010 to June 3rd 2010 in South Korea, taking over the Wednesday and Thursday time slots previously occupied by "The Slave Hunters" with an average rating of 19.2 % nationwide.

It is a modern day adaptation of Cinderella with a twist as our Cinderella, Seo Woo, is loved by everyone whereas her stepsister, Moon Geun-Young, has a dark past and struggles with the fact that her mother starts to care more for Seo Woo than her.

As the story unfolds, Moon Geun-Young, who lost her father many years ago, moves gets a new family home when her mother remarries. Although things seem to have turned the better for the cynical Moon Geun-Young, she immediately faces problems when she meets her new step-sister Seo Woo. Seo Woo with her bright character is the apple in her father's eyes and the clear favourite in the house. Furthermore, Moon Geun-Young mother also seems to have fallen for the charismatic personality of Seo Woo.

Making matters worse for Moon Geun-Young, Seo Woo seems to like Moon Geun-Young‘s prince Cheon Jeong-Myeong. Moon Geun-Young decides then and there to take matters in her own hands and exact revenge on her Cinderella like stepsister.

Cinderella Sister is one of the best dramas I’ve ever watched. The characters portrayed by Eun Jo - a cold hearted person, very fierce, strong and very independent. While Hyo Seon - is a bubbly, loving and has a very submissive personality. The drama shows how two different people learned how to love and defend each other for their father and the whole family. Congrats KBS!

One thing that really impressed me about this drama is moon geun-young acting. It seems like yesterday i watched her in the 'My Little Bride' as a young, naive actress. Her transition to a much older role really leaves a deep impression in me.

Korean Drama - Baker King, Kim Tak Goo - 제빵왕 김탁구 - (OST Download)

Just finished watching the 14th episode of the Korean drama Baker King, Kim Tak Goo (제빵왕 김탁구).16 more episodes to go. Quite eager to  see how things turn out to be at the end. This drama is highly entertaining and inspiring . Well what can I say. Lets see what others think.

    Little introduction first:
KBS broadcasted the Baker King  from June 2010 to September 2010 in South Korea and during its finale, the Korean drama got a record viewer rating of 50.8%. The Baker King was also accorded presidential honors in the 2010 Republic of Korea Content Wards Ceremony for its contribution in the overseas popularity of Korean popular culture.
(2011,  The Baker King (Baker Kim Tak-gu on GMA Network , Han Mania)

It is an emotional roller coaster of a series that tells a story of revenge, hope, love, and dreams in a way no other Korean drama has done.what probably makes Baker King stand out from the rest is that the writers have written a carefully crafted story that continually drives the series forward.

The series is fast paced, easily able to fill its 30 episode order with story when some dramas can’t even fill the typical 16-episode order without going in circles and/or unrelated subplots.
There are so many moving pieces in each episode, all contributing to the overarching story. With one surprise and twist after another.

Baker King manages to not only keep the story moving, but grab a hold of viewer's interest and never lets it go. The series’ ability to jerk itself away from tired drama clichés is a major part in that continuous flow. Just when one think they’ll delve into stereotypical soap, they jerk you back onto the road less traveled.

Baker King is an emotional roller coaster in the best way possible. Happiness, sadness, anger, excitement; Tearing up from being so moved  to standing up and cheering to wanting to throw something at the television in anger, Baker King arouses emotion so well that you are more than invested in the lives of these characters

Baker king is not your typical soap opera. it is full of twists and turns yet maintains its interesting story. what i love about baker king is the that it is full of moral values that would inspire the viewers. It made me realize a lot of things about life.like how important friendship is,honesty and gratitude. never quit on your dreams and achieve your dreams the right way.

Ah, I can see why it was the nation’s drama. I started watching it and it was already intense! The storyline is really good and really inspirational. Although it was really long, it was so totally worth every episode. Definitely a drama that  needs to be watched by everyone!

    Secret Garden - Korean Drama

    © 2011 SBS

Just finished watching the first 10 episodes of the Korean drama

Well ,what can I say about it?
Let’s see what others think ....

"Wow!!!!!!!! I did not want to watch any Korean drama, however, my friend recommended it. Even though I'm Korean living in the US, I've never watched any Korean dramas. However, this drama was a wonderful with excellent stories, good actors and actress, excellent acting skills, wonderful backgrounds and good OSTs. I just finished seeing Secret Garden for only two days all of the 20 episodes. I hooked with its actors and actress. I wish the USA buys this drama, so American people could see it because it is the number one in the Korean drama history. I'm giving my two hands. Thumbs up"
